In a typical IT organization, production problems are often difficult to diagnose and trouble-shoot.  If a problem is due to a third party software, their support may simply not be able to diagnose from traditional means such as examining application logs.

Thin Capture offers another way.  Without worrying about hurting production, a captured environment can be handed over to a third party IT professional where the problem can be diagnosed with tools that may otherwise be destructive.  Even if the problem itself may be destructive, it can be reproduced within the captured environment safely multiple times until the problem is clearly understood and a proper fix prepared.  The corrective procedure itself can be implemented and tested fully within the captured environment, making sure that the cure is no worse than the illness.
